Ahhh!!! I love a good pun. Okay, that was a terrible pun. But, whatever! You can't go wrong with a pun...that's what I always say!
But without really knowing what I'm talking about...it might not make sense, right? Well then, my internet friends...let me explain it to you in this sweet new video from the offices at Luice Design HQ!
It almost looks like a freakin' hologram! But it's not. These seemingly ordinary 16 pt matte business cards are quite special in that they've received a special treatment of Spot UV printing. One can do no wrong with a little touch like this and if you're looking for a very unique card that's well within an affordable price range...even for dirt poor folks like myself! These are the way to go!
The technique is quite simple really. Part of the card, in this case...the logo...is given the UV coating which is often applied to an entire card to give it the shiny, glossy look we're all used to. The effect of applying it to specific areas makes it sort of jump right out in the light. Your design comes alive! You can even print colorless, with the spot UV only, which gives it an eerie ghostly effect. I've seen it done before. Super hot.
I just love the way that blue shines and reveals the logo!
