Spot UV time!

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

Another fantastic Luice Design business card. It's one of their latest Spot UV printed business cards. My personal favorite of options for those of you who like the simpler things in life and don't need anything crazy or shiny or sparkly. I can definitely get down with this. This is the card for you.

What's awesome in this business card design is the cool use of the smoke. The hookah was given a very subtle black tone and covered in UV gloss to stand out on the card. You almost don't see if until it catches your eye in the light. A great effect and a genious and simple way to transform what would otherwise be a plain and boring card into something unique and special.

Keep up the good work, Luice!

It wasn't too long ago that I was talking about one of Luice Design's newest offerings in the business card department. Wooden business cards. Remember those?

This is what they look like!

It's hard to tell from this photo. It doesn't really do it justice as to HOW AWESOME THEY ARE .

Yet another another successful makeover.

Yet another successful story of business card makeover from Luice Design. Good work, my peeps!

These customers have been loyally purchasing services for a while and finally decided to have their business cards brought in for a little plastic surgery. Well it didn't really take too much....just a little full color foil business card and some tender designer love. Bada-bing! Happy customer!

Thinner plastic!?

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Luice Design's got a new option for those of you who like plastic business cards.

The poly-plastic business card. Many customers have been asking how they can get the lovely gold plastic business card in a more thin stock, like 12 mil. Something that bends is a little more flexible.

Poly-plastic, baby! They come in metallic gold or silver!! Sparkley!

Going metal!

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

I wanna show you what Luice Design's designers have come up with in one of my favorite business card categories. The incredible, ever so awesome.... metal business cards.

Most people have only seen the dog-tag metal card they created a while back....well here's another fine example of what you can do with METAL.

This time, it's looking like a razor blade shape for a sleek and stylish graphic designer.

Some metal and a little die-cut for the perfect custom card. I love the sleek and stylish look of this. Totally hot. Incredibly sexy. Not afraid to say it!

Magnets?! How do they work!

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

I've talked about how great these magnetic business cards are, in the past. Today...I simply just want to remind you how awesome they are!

The design wizards at Luice Design have offered this ensemble of magnet samples to show you just how they work....ICP, prepare to be amazed!

It's a pretty simple concept, but a freaking effective one. You give your magnetic business card to your client. Your client takes it home and sticks it up on his fridge...forever. It'll be there, forever hanging up his kid's cute artwork, reminders, calendars...all the things people stick to their fridge, will now include an advertisement for you and your business....forever. Or at least a loooong time.

DO IT!

Velvet…smooth. Ultra smooth. Kinda strange. Totally awesome.

Getting a makeover for your business cards!

Friday, July 30th, 2010

Luice Design is currently running a makeover design contest! You should check it out! This is the business card that inspired it all!

It's such a classic example of taking a totally pathetic business card and turning into a beautiful piece of art!

Here's the before pic! Yuck!

And here's the beautiful after pic! Awesome!

They gave this card the royal treatment. Basically took it from trash to talk of the town. With a 16 pt. business card stock and spot UV, heads will be spinning once this thing hits the streets!

So if you have yourself a nasty looking card, give them a call. They might just wanna give you a makeover!

Apples and Oranges

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

This is a foil business card!

This is a metallic business card!

Can you tell the difference between these two styles offered by design pros at Luice Design?

Let me break it down to you because a lot of people are constantly asking "What's the difference, yo?"

Foil business cards are totally shiny! And not in the UV glossy sense, but more of a color reflection sense. It's a combination of 4 colors plus silver foil with a UV coat on top.

Metallic business cards are made with special ink by adding a special silver into the mix. The result is a subtle sparkle in the color...giving it that "metallic" look. It's a great choice to spruce up a business card and make it stand out....especially if you're going all out and getting other features like die-cuts or extra thick 16pt silk cards.
